🎯 Course Objective: to teach pupils both traditional and contemporary embroidery techniques. to produce skilled craftspeople for work and business. to ensure self-sufficiency and preserve cultural heritage through the art of embroidery.
⏳ Course Length: 360 Total Hours (270 Practical, 90 Theory)
📝 Eligibility: Minimum 8th standard pass (or as per project requirement). Interest in craft and manual skills.

Module 2: Tools, Materials & Workstation (20 Hours) Threads, Needles, Hoops, Frames, Fabrics Setting up a safe and ergonomic embroidery workstation Maintenance and handling of tools
Module 3: Basic Hand Embroidery Stitches (40 Hours) Running Stitch, Back Stitch Chain Stitch, Satin Stitch Stem Stitch, Lazy Daisy Stitch Blanket Stitch, French Knot (Practice sheets for each stitch)
Module 4: Traditional Indian Embroidery Techniques (60 Hours) Chikankari (Lucknow) Kantha (West Bengal) Zardozi (Delhi, Agra, Lucknow) Phulkari (Punjab) Kashida (Kashmir) (History + Hands-on Practice)
Module 5: Surface Ornamentation (30 Hours) Beadwork Sequin Work Mirror Work Appliqué Module 6: Designing for Embroidery (30 Hours) Understanding Motifs Transferring Designs on Fabric Color Theory Basics Free-hand Drawing Practice
Module 7: Finishing Techniques (20 Hours) Trimming, Framing Washing and Care Instructions Ironing and Packaging
Module 8: Introduction to Machine Embroidery (Optional – 20 Hours) Overview of domestic embroidery machines Basic stitching on machines
