Module 2: Raw Materials and Fiber Science 30 Hours
- Fiber types: cotton, wool, silk, jute, polyester, nylon, etc.
- Properties of the fibers and how they affect fabric Spinning and yarn making fundamentals Identification and handling of fibers
Module 3: Yarn Manufacturing and Spinning
- 40 Hours: Carding, combing, ginning, and spinning process Ring spun, open-end, core spun yarn types Equipment used and routine maintenance Yarn production quality parameters
Module 4: Fabric Manufacturing
- Time: 50 Hours
- Weaving and knitting operations
- Classification of looms: shuttle, rapier, air jet, circular Preparation of warp and weft Testing of fabric and detection of defects Technical textiles and non-woven (overview)
Module 5: Textile Printing and Dyeing
- Time: 50 Hours
- Dyeing process: batch dyeing, continuous dyeing, and semi-continuous dyeing Natural dyes and synthetic dyes
- Printing processes: screen printing, block printing, digital printing Colorfastness and testing in the laboratory Health, safety, and handling chemicals
Module 6: Textile Finishing
- Time: 30 Hours
- Types of finish: mechanical, chemical Calendaring, raising, shrinking, coating Softening, wrinkle resistance, waterproofing Finishing machines and quality checks
Module 7: Quality Assurance & Environmental Practices
- Duration: 30 Hours
- Quality parameters in yarn, fabric, and garments Testing methods (GSM, tensile strength, shrinkage, etc.) Eco-friendly textile processing Waste management, pollution control
Module 8: Industrial Safety & Soft Skills
- Duration: 25 Hours
- Health and safety practices PPE usage and emergency handling Teamwork and communication in factories Discipline, hygiene, and ethics in the workplace
